As part of our monthly series, we’ll introduce team members from the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH). You’ll learn more about their interests, the projects they work on at TIEMH, and more.
This month, the spotlight is on Annie Lenoir (she/her). Annie earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, with a strong focus on statistical analysis and research methods.
She has a diverse background in research, data analysis, and program assessment, with experience working on projects related to trauma, distress tolerance, and education. Annie is passionate about leveraging data-driven insights to enhance mental health services and support informed decision-making.
Let’s dive into Annie’s interview:
1) What projects do you work on?
I work with the Center for Mental Health Implementation Support (CMHIS).
2) What’s your official job title?
I’m an Evaluator here at the Institute.
3) What do you enjoy about working at TIEMH?
I really enjoy working at TIEMH because of the amazing work we do to improve mental health services. It’s rewarding to be part of a team that’s dedicated to making a real difference. My coworkers are incredibly supportive and knowledgeable, and it’s inspiring to collaborate with them on projects that have such a meaningful impact.
4) What are you currently reading, watching, or listening to?
I’ve been listening to a lot of ABBA these days.
5) What’s something exciting you did over the summer?
This summer, I’ve been on a quest to find the best snow cone in Austin. I’ve also been exploring the parks in Austin!
