Avia is a fourth-year PhD student in the dual Master’s/Doctorate program in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State University, Pomona. Her research interests focus on examining the impact of social relationships and intervention or prevention programs on youth development to promote well-being. Outside of her studies, Avia enjoys exploring the local music scene, trying new restaurants, baking, and staying active.
