Peer Supervision in Texas: Findings and Recommendations from a Mixed-Methods Study

Despite the importance of supervision for job satisfaction and retention, little is known about the strengths and
needs of the current landscape of peer supervision in Texas.

Therefore, this report combines an analysis of peer survey data with individuals who recently participated in the peer specialist credentialing process (n=91) with an analysis of in-depth interview data with peer specialists, peer specialist supervisors (PSS), and individuals working in institutional positions that afford them knowledge about the peer and peer supervisor workforces (n=53) to assess the strengths and needs of peer supervision in Texas.
